Why do I need to apply before registering?
We want to know a little bit more about you so our trainers and facilitators can know who we will be working with! Additionally, the Paul E. Magnus Centre for Leadership Studies is affiliated with Briercrest Seminary, which requires certain considerations for certificates we award. This brief application helps us cover both of those needs.

Sport plays an important role in the development of countless people, yet maximizing the positive impact takes great intentionality. This certification is built on decades of research and hands on practice in the worlds of sports coaching and learning theory. It provides a theological framework, a powerful growth model and practical tools that can be applied to skill development, character development and spiritual formation.

Director of the Leadership Centre Ellen Duffield
Ellen Duffield is the Interim Program Coordinator for the Master of Arts in Leadership and Management program, Centre for Leadership Studies Coordinator and Co-Vocational Canada project lead at Briercrest Seminary and the founder of BraveWomen.ca. She is the author of several books and brings three decades of non-profit and church leadership experience as well as leadership consulting, coaching, and group facilitation.
