Speakers

National Director for Church Development for Free Methodist Church Jared Siebert

Jared Siebert currently serves as the National Director for Church Development for the Free Methodist Church in Canada and author of Gutsy: (Mis)Adventures in Canadian Church Planting. His main responsibility is to prepare the denomination to respond to the massive cultural change that churches are facing. He accomplishes this through the planting of new kinds of churches and by developing sustained health and contextual conversations at the local church level designed to bring churches face to face with their mission.

Contributing Editor for New Leaf Writers Collective Amy Bratton

Amy Bratton is the Contributing Editor of the New Leaf Writers Collective and the project manager for the Canadian Multivocational Ministry Project. She lives in Saskatoon, SK with her husband, Tim, and their two sons, Oswald and Ira. She is a lay leader at Riversdale Neighbours church and an Adjunct Professor with Rocky Mountain College in the area of Spiritual Formation. She writes and speaks about the history of Christian spirituality, with a focus on the early Methodist understanding of Christian maturity known as “perfect love.” Read more from her in her book Witnesses of Perfect Love: Narratives of Christian Perfection in Early Methodism.

Professor at Tyndale University and Vice President of the Evangelical Missiological Society of Canada Dr. Narry Santos

Narry F. Santos is Assistant Professor of Practical Ministry and Intercultural Leadership at the seminary of Tyndale University and Vice President of the Evangelical Missiological Society Canada. He has served as part-time Senior Pastor of Greenhills Christian Fellowship (GCF) York and GCF Peel in Ontario, Canada since 2017, after having planted Saddleback South Manila for three years. Before Saddleback Church, he ministered at GCF in different pastoral responsibilities for 20 years, including helping plant six churches in Canada and four in the Philippines. He also assists Misso Nexus at the missions category of its Leader’s Edge Book Summary/Author Interview. He is married to Hazel for 32 years, and has two grown daughters and two grandchildren.

Research Project Manager for The Wellness Project, Wycliffe Beth Anne Fisher

Beth Anne Fisher is the Research Project Manager for the Wellness Project @ Wycliffe, run by Dr. Wanda Malcolm. For the past 6+ years they have been exploring satisfaction and stress in vocational ministry life and are currently developing tools to support ongoing self-reflection and peer support in ministry life. Beth Anne is also a PhD candidate at Emmanuel College, Toronto School of Theology.

Pastor at The Living Room Church, Toronto Bernard Tam

Bernard Tam is a coffee enthusiast, neighbourhood connector and one of the pastors at The Living Room Church in Midtown, Toronto. Regularly you can find Bernard at local specialty coffee shops learning to be present in the neighbourhood while enjoying every sip of locally roasted coffee. He is also one of the co-hosts of the Canadian Asian Missional Podcast - a conversation that engages with the movements of the Canadian Asian Church.

Justice Advocate, and Teacher at The Meeting House Danielle Strickland

Danielle Strickland works multivocationally as a Justice advocate, communicator, peacemaker and she is on the teaching team at The Meeting House. Her aggressive compassion has served people firsthand in countries all over the world. From establishing justice departments and church plants to launching global anti-trafficking initiatives, to creating new initiatives to mobilize people towards transformational spiritual life. Danielle trains, advocates, and inspires people to live differently through initiatives like Amplify Peace, Brave Global, Infinitum and Women Speakers Collective. Her latest book is Better Together: How Women and Men Can Heal the Divide and Work Together to Transform the Future. Currently based in Toronto, Canada, Danielle is the proud mom of 3 boys, wife to Stephen.
